Sarah North
Associate
Sarah North is a strategic talent and culture practitioner with deep expertise in designing and delivering leadership strategies at enterprise scale. Most recently Group Head of Talent at a FTSE100 banking group, she has shaped leadership pipelines, advised on Board-level appointments, and built succession architectures in some of the UK’s most complex and regulated environments.
Her work sits at the intersection of organisational performance and human development, attending not only to what leadership looks like, but to the inner conditions that make genuine transformation sustainable. She brings to Wellspring a particular interest in what becomes possible when leaders and organisations are supported to look beneath the surface of what is already known: to sit with complexity, remain open to what is emerging, and act from a deeper quality of presence.
Sarah and John came together through a cross-sector community of inquiry exploring what leadership needs to look like in conditions of radical complexity. The work they share reflects a shared conviction: that the most significant leadership challenges of our time cannot be resolved through strategy alone, but require a different quality of listening, relationship, and collective courage.

Professor Andy Jones
Associate
Andy is an experienced public health academic, evaluation consultant and systems thinker with over 30 years’ experience working across universities, local government, the NHS and the voluntary sector. He specialises in helping organisations understand the difference their work makes, using evidence in practical and meaningful ways to support learning, improvement, and positive change.
His areas of expertise include mixed-methods evaluation, public health interventions, health inequalities, whole-systems thinking, access to services, behaviour change, and the role of environments in shaping health and wellbeing. He has worked closely with organisations including NIHR, NICE, Cancer Research UK, local authorities, NHS partners and a wide range of charities and community organisations.
Andy brings both academic rigour and a deeply practical approach to his work. He is particularly interested in evaluation that is useful, proportionate and human, helping teams move beyond simply proving impact, towards learning from their work, strengthening relationships, and building confidence in the use of evidence. His approach is collaborative and person-centred, working alongside organisations to develop evaluation in ways that feel achievable, relevant, and empowering.
Across his career, Andy has led major research and evaluation programmes, secured over £25 million in research funding as a lead or co-applicant, and published more than 280 peer-reviewed papers. Clients and colleagues value Andy’s ability to make complex ideas accessible, create safe and thoughtful spaces for learning, and bring clarity to messy real-world challenges. He is committed to evaluation that supports ethical, sustainable change – helping people and organisations understand what is working, what could be better, and how evidence can be used to make good things happen.
Phil Moore
Associate
Phil Moore is a veteran of the technology and IT industry, with over 40 years of experience specialising in the deployment and adoption of technological innovations and quality improvement. For the past 20 years, Phil has focused on the Health and Care sector, helping organisations, their staff, patients, and service users benefit from advances in technology.
Prior to setting up Purposeful Curiosity, he spent six years as the Digital Innovation Lead for Public Sector at Insight, ranked as the 6th most prolific information services companies in the Fortune 500. Phil’s areas of specialism include Immersive Technology (Virtual Reality, Augmented or Mixed Reality, sometimes referred to as XR), Intelligent Automation and AI and he was vice chair of the Social Care Working Group at techUK , the national body for the technology industry in the UK.
From the earliest days, Phil recognised that people, processes, and understanding the service delivery/customer journey are the most important aspects of any successful technology deployment. Understanding context and developing genuine empathy with those working on the front line are vital parts of the adoption process.
Phil’s workshops generate tremendous enthusiasm for the possibilities that new technologies can bring, even for self-confessed technical luddites. He excels at identifying barriers to successful adoption and addressing them effectively. Phil’s unique ability to take complex concepts or products and translate them into simple, relevant terms that connect with users' lives helps creates a real desire for change.
However, it's not all about the technology. Often, simply encouraging the curiosity and creativity of the team leads to novel ideas for problem-solving and service and quality improvement.
Phil employs methodologies such as Design Thinking and Proci’s© ADKAR. Using a proven approach that harnesses people's natural curiosity and creativity, then systematically turn these into tangible and actionable ideas, is what he calls Purposeful Curiosity.
What Makes Us Different?
Wellspring Development Consultancy stands apart through our unwavering commitment to practical solutions that generate real results; purposeful, mission led benefits realisation – through engaging Head, Heart and Hand.
Are you seeking to change something?
Are you facing change?
Whether it’s organisational, professional, or personal, Wellspring DC supports people and teams to achieve their aspirations. We enable people to have greater agency and empowerment in developing their relationships; to increase the pace and efficacy of the collaborative problem-solving.
We think Whole System, embrace digital, deliver at a granular level, never waver from a person-centred approach.
With our depth of experience, we can often share solutions and make connections, however, it’s very much about supporting people to ask the right questions, in ways that create emergent options, and activate collaborative solutions.
Away from the jargon, it’s about individuals being part of something positive, finding joy in the journey and delivering what they all agreed to do – big or small.
Our methodology focuses on collaboration:
Unlike consultancies that apply standardised frameworks regardless of context, we tailor our approach to your specific culture, challenges, and aspirations. We believe in working with you, not simply for you—creating solutions together that have both immediate impact and long-term sustainability.
Our commitment to ethical practice runs through everything we do. We prioritise approaches that respect the dignity and potential of all involved, that build rather than deplete organisational resources, and that contribute to the broader social good.
As an external partner that cares, Wellspring DC can ask the questions that count, offer information that may not otherwise be shared, and support solutions that meet the need.
We use a range of proven tools and methodologies, coupled with diverse experience, to enable people and teams to achieve their aspirations, realising the benefits through Head, Heart and Hand.
